Margaret Ann Wilson, age 59 of Yankton and formerly of Santee, NE passed away at home in her sleep on Saturday, January 26, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00, Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Our Most Merciful Savior Episcopal Church in Santee, NE with Rev. David Hussey and Chaplain Tweeter Henseler officiating. Burial will be in the Episcopal Cemetery. Visitations will be from 6-9 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, SD with a 7:00 PM wake service. Visitations and a wake service will begin at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the Oyate Oyanke Community Center, Santee, NE, and resume one hour prior to the service at the community center. Pallbearers will be Edward Meng, Jr., Jason Fox, Mike Selwyn, Ty Holiday, Joe Selwyn, and Cory Meng. Honorary pallbearers will be all Santee Elders, Edward Meng, Sr., Myra Meng Zeigler, Kayla Meng, Ashley Meng, and Dillon McBride.

Margaret was born on June 15, 1948 to Steven and Mercy (Vassar) Moose in Yankton, SD. She was raised and attended Yankton Public School and then later St. Elizabeth Indian School in Wakpala, SD. For about five years, Margaret worked as a housekeeper at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital. She was united in marriage to Mark Wilson in Yankton in May 1992. She also worked as a nurse's aide in Nebraska and South Dakota. Margaret was a very strong and courageous woman, who for many years suffered with diabetes, cancer, and was bound to a wheelchair. She shared a lot of love for her family and grandchildren.

Her memory will always be cherished by her husband, Mark Wilson; her sons; Mike McBride, Jimmy McBride, and Roy Stack, Jr.; her daughter, Sylvia Stack; brother, Robert Moose; sister, Virginia Goodteacher, all of her grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, two grandsons, two brothers, and two sisters.
