Carltaeviss Latron Short, 26, of Tabor, SD formerly of Monroe, LA died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 10, 2007 at the Sherman Center on the Campus of Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton is in care of the arrangements.

Carltaeviss Latron was born on February 28, 1981 to Carl Littleberry and Jacqueline Short in Monroe, Louisiana. He attended grade and high school in Monroe, Louisiana. After graduation, he attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD playing football until 2006 and graduating with a Criminal Justice Degree. While attending DSU, Carl worked at the Quality Inn in Mitchell and for Our Home Inc. group home in Parkston, SD. He was also a Marine Reservist until 2004. Carl played semi pro football for the Crofton Thunderbirds in 2007. At the time of his death, Carl worked at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Yankton and lived in Tabor with his girlfriend, Michelle Millen and her children, Tajia, Devin and Jordan.

Carl is survived by his father, Carl (Darlene) Littleberry; his mother, Jacqueline Short; his Godparents, Lester and Dewanna Jackson of Monroe, LA; his very special significant other, Michelle Millen and her children Tajia, Devin, and Jordan all of Tabor, SD; 9 brothers and 8 sisters, all of Monroe, LA, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two Grandmothers: Ruth Jackson and Bernice Littleberry and two Grandfathers: Louis Short and Alonzo Littleberry.
