Patricia (Patty) Joan Morgan, age 45, of Yankton, SD passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yankton, with Rev. Mark Lichter officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yankton. Visitations will begin at 3:00 PM, Friday November 25, 2011 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, with a Scripture Service and memory sharing at 7:00 PM. Visitations will resume one hour prior to services at the church.

Patty was born on Mother's Day, May 8, 1966 in Fargo, ND to Marianne (Daws) Morgan and William (Bill) Morgan, Jr.

Patty was baptized at Holy Spirit Church in Fargo, ND and made her first communion at Sacred Heart Monastery Chapel in Yankton, SD. She was confirmed at Sacred Heart Church in Yankton, SD. Patty attended Hope Preschool at Sacred Heart Monastery, Stewart School Elementary and Middle School. Patty attended Ability Building Services from 1984 to 2010. In 2010, Patty became a resident of Sunset Manor in Irene, SD transferring to Sister James Nursing home in Yankton in January, 2011 where she remained until her death.

Patty loved attending EARTH classes at Sacred Heart Church and was also involved in Special Olympics for several years. Patty was a very loving, happy, forgiving, gentle soul bringing happiness to all of her family and touched many people throughout her young life.

Having been blessed to share her life are her mother, Mari Morgan, her brothers and sisters-Brenda (Cliff) Potts, Billings, MT, Mike (Barb) Morgan, Sioux Falls, SD, Dennis (Nancy) Morgan, Lakewood, CO, David (Sheri) Morgan, Newell, IA, Bruce Morgan, Big Sky, MT, and Beth (Daryl) Feilmeier, Yankton, SD and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and aunts and uncles.

Patty is preceded in death by her father, William Morgan in 1983 and both sets of grandparents, Lloyd and Florence Morgan and Howard and Ann Daws, and nephew Nicholas Feilmeier.

Patty's life shined a short time and she will be missed by all. She was truly a gift from heaven.
