 Andrew Joseph Lane, age 29, of Alvin, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Alvin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at St. Columba Catholic Church (Mayfield), rural Irene, SD. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitations will begin at 5 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton with a 7 PM Rosary followed by a 7:30 PM Scripture Service. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Friends and family are invited to join a reception celebrating Andy's life also at St. Columba.
Andrew was born May 27, 1981 to Donald and Julie (Hauger) Lane in Rapid City, SD. Andy enjoyed his life traveling between Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota and Texas visiting friends and family along the way. Andy spent the majority of time in Texas with his extended family at All Little Things Country, which supports the challenges of special needs adults. He also blessed family and friends throughout the Yankton County area through his many visits over the years.
Survivors include his mother, Julie, father, Don, brothers, Mike and Matt, sister in law Reagan, Grandmother Anna Mae Hauger, of Yankton, SD; Uncles and Aunts: Randy and Phyllis Hauger with family, Danny Hauger, Marlene Hauger family, Tim and Jane Goeden family, Wayne and Teri Hauger family, Chris and Jenny Hauger family, and Dick and Joyce Lane family
`He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mabel and Alvin Lane (Utica, SD) Leo Hauger, (Mission Hill, SD) and Uncle Larry Hauger ( Utica, SD).
