Dennis was born to Jens and Charlotte (Strid) on July 8, 1946 in Geddes, South Dakota. Dennis grew up in Geddes before moving to Mitchell, SD and eventually Pasadena, CA. He returned to the Lakes Andes area in 1966, and completed several jobs with many construction companies. Dennis was a master of working on old cars, with his specialty being brakes. Dennis is survived by his sister; Mary Lou Connell of Yankton, SD; his two brothers: Jens and David Johanneson, both of Yankton, SD; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Oscar, Robert, Joyce, Delores, Pauline and Ruth, and his brother-in-law, Otis Connell.
