 Dellano H. Hoesing, age 77, of Fordyce, NE passed away on Wednesday, February 03, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Hartington, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee, NE with Rev. David Fulton officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitations will begin at 4 PM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton with a 7:00 PM rosary followed by a 7:30 PM scripture service. Pallbearers will be J.D. Hoesing, Josh Hoesing, Wade Hoesing, Chad Hoesing, Ryan Thorson and David Hyde.
Dellano was born on December 17, 1932 to Hubert and Elizabeth (Hoebelheinrich) Hoesing. He was born, grew up and farmed northwest of Menominee until 2000. He married Mary Schaefer on April 24, 1956 at Menominee. He worked many years at Stockmen's Livestock in Yankton. He enjoyed working with cattle and gardening. Mary died on July 31, 1999. On November 13, 2000 he married Rita (Pick) Kleinschmidt.
Dellano is survived by his wife, Rita; eight children and their spouses: Della and Dan Haas of Tabor, SD, Hubert and Deb Hoesing of Dakota Dunes, SD; Karl and Lori Hoesing of Rapid City, SD, Darrell and Linda Hoesing of Fordyce, NE, Lyle and Michelle Hoesing of Yankton, SD, John Hoesing of Beatrice, NE, Sharon and Mark Thorson of Rapid City, SD and Curt and Lynn Hoesing of Pullman, WA. He is also survived by three step children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Elizabeth Hoesing; his first wife Mary Hoesing; five sisters and their spouses: Leona and Alfred Haberman, Sr., Verna and Pete Schmidt, Marian and Emery Heine, Kathleen and Edmund Bruening, and Del Rae Schaefer; two brothers and spouse: Arland and Rita Hoesing and an infant brother.
