 Margaret M. Donovan, age 84, of Yankton, SD passed away on May, 30, 2011 at Wakonda Heritage Manor. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yankton, SD with Father Mark Lichter officiating. Visitation will be at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory, Yankton, SD with a Rosary at 7:00 PM and Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Wakonda, SD approximately at 12:45 PM. Pallbearers will be Don Hovden, Tim Hovden, Dave Donovan, Dan Donovan, Jeff Hovden, Chris Hovden and Nick Hovden.
Margaret was born on November 6, 1926 on her Grandfather Volin's Homestead in Volin, SD to Dennis M. Donovan and Marie (Volin) Donovan. She was baptized in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wakonda, SD and graduated from Volin Public School. She was employed by the Volin Post Office, First Dakota National Bank and ASHH Cafeteria. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a coordinator for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by sisters, Jeanne Donovan of Yankton, SD and Vivian Hovden of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law, Dolores Donovan of Columbia, MO and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers, Velmar Donovan and his wife, Delores and Loraine Donovan.
