 Karen K. Bruget, age 60, of Yankton, SD, died early Saturday, March 22, 2008 Avera Yankton Care Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Vangen Lutheran Church, Mission Hill, with Rev. Lance Lindgren officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Mission Hill. Visitations will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, is in charge of arrangements.
Karen was born December 9, 1947 in Yankton, SD to Leo And Wilma (Inch) Bruget. She has been a lifelong resident of Yankton where she attended Bruget School for eight years and then special education classes at the Yankton Middle School. She loved playing cards, bowling and being with her family. She was Secretary-Treasurer at Sunday school at Vangen Lutheran Church for several years. She was a member of WELCA at St. John's Lutheran Church. She lived on the family farm with her parents until they moved to Yankton after the farm was sold. She lived inYankton moving to Avera Sunset Manor Care Center, Irene, in May of 2001 and then in November of 2001 moved to the Avera Yankton Care Center where she resided until her death..
Karen is survived by her mother Wilma of Yankton, God Mother Ruby Cutts of Yankton, SD and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father in 1983.
